Bo, a recent runaway, meets Horatio, a talking, fiddle-playing bear, just after they have raided Farmer Zack's gardens. The local sheriff heeds the call of Farmer Zack and is stunned when he finds Horatio can talk. But his sworn duty to uphold the law compels him to cart Horatio away to jail—and to court. There, everyone is surprised to learn that Horatio is himself a runaway—from a traveling circus owned by the unsavory Jack Olsen. Olsen makes a sudden courtroom appearance to claim his star entertainer, and the bedlam that ensues turns Judge Lee's courtroom into a circus. All ends well, as Judge Lee makes a wise decision that will surprise and delight the audience.
