Synopsis

This rollicking version of the classic tale opens with the villagers preparing for the springtime chores as the entire cast sings "Spring Is Just Around the Corner." Everyone has certain responsibilities and today Jamie is told he must spend the day guarding the village flock of sheep. He quickly gets bored with the sheep and decides to go fishing. Shortly thereafter the villagers return to find the sheep unattended, and soon Jamie is dragged in by his ear after being found sleeping by the pond with a fishing line tied around his toe. Jamie is reprimanded by his father who explains to him that he must develop a sense of responsibility and that a wolf has been spotted in the area, so it is very important that Jamie take his duties seriously. Jamie reluctantly agrees to guard the sheep once more, but instead of taking his job seriously, he plays a trick on the villagers, a plan which backfires, endangering the flock and raising the ire of the Snipple twins and the rest of the villagers.
