Geraldine Ann Snyder has gained wide recognition for her work on behalf of young people by addressing complex issues through the use of music, comedy and drama. Co-founder with her husband, Paul Lenzi, of the Blue Apple Players, Louisville, Kentucky, she has toured extensively throughout the southeast and performed on stages from the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., to the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In addition to writing and performing in more than 50 Blue Apple Productions, Snyder is an internationally known designer. Her work has been displayed in Newsweek; Craft Horizons, the European publication; Decorative Art in Modern Interiors; Creating Modern Furniture and Contemporary Crafts of the Americas. Her soft sculpture Chair is owned by the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. Snyder was honored to be named as the recipient of the Presentation Academy Tower Award for Women Leaders in Arts and Communication and the prestigious Star Award from the Pleiades Theatre Company.
