Synopsis
A very special Friend-and-Relation tells Christopher Robin a story of a Christmas Eve very long ago (about last year) when Eeyore, the old gray donkey who lives by himself in the thistle corner of Hundred-Acre Wood, was absolutely miserable. It seems that he lost his tail and Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet got all of their friends and a search was organized. There is a great deal of fun and excitement, plus delightful songs, in the adventure that follows. Its theme, which concerns caring, sharing and the importance of cultivating friends, makes this a very special and enchanting musical suitable for any occasion. Note: This musical has alternate dialogue so it may also be performed as "A Winnie-the-Pooh Birthday Tail."

Audiences loved Christmas Pooh! Tigger's song was a huge hit. We sold out our shows and people wanted more!
We performed the show with the optional (birthday) changes. The music is fun to sing and story is tightly woven and moves fast enough to keep even the youngest of audience members interested. This is the second production we have mounted. It was so popular with our audiences the first time we decided to try it again with the same success. We plan on making it our annual spring musical. You just can't go wrong with this version of Winnie-the-Pooh.
This was a great play to use for our first extensive tour!
Winnie-the-Pooh Christmas Tail has become a Shawnee Playhouse tradition. We never have enough performances to accommodate the numbers of people that want to see it!
This touching musical is always a big hit with our audiences.
The younger audience members really were attentive and loved seeing the characters afterwards -- Eeyore was the most popular. Easy to produce overall with small cast and minimal props and sets.
I really love this show. The music is fun, the plot is clear and concise for small children's attention spans, and the production values can be as simple or elaborate as your budget allows. I have produced this show three times -- this will be my fourth and it is always a crowd pleaser. The only show that I can have great audience turnouts with only eight cast members!
By far one of my favorite shows in your catalog. This will be my 5th production of this title. The show is simple and fun and a real audience pleaser for all fans of Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.
A wonderful, fun show for both the actors and audience. The audience loved seeing all the recognizable characters and interacting with them before and after the show. This show is always a sure hit for us!
Hints, Tips, and Tricks
We stay away from the Disney cliche look of Pooh and simply created our look from kangaroo pocket hoodies. Simple and effective!
