Sean Hartley is the director of the Theater Wing at the Elaine Kaufman Center in New York City, where he produces the concert series "Broadway Close Up" and "Broadway Playhouse" and is the artistic director of the Poppy Seed Players. He was nominated for a 2003 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Lyrics for the off-Broadway production of Cupid and Psyche, (written with composer Jihwan Kim). His works for television include songs for the Disney Channel's "The Book of Pooh" and "Bear in the Big Blue House." He wrote the book for Little Women (with Kim Oler and Alison Hubbard), book and lyrics for King Matt (with Jihwan Kim) and book and lyrics for Dysfunctional Fables (with Sam Davis). His works for children include a musical of the Newbery Award-winning book Number the Stars and Holy Moses (written with Bob Kolsby), both available through Dramatic Publishing Company.
