Bette Glenn won scholarships singing Puccini, played Broadway in Irene, worked opposite Madeline Kahn and Barry Bostwick in She Loves Me at New York City's Town Hall, received glowing reviews in Variety and The New York Times for her work off-Broadway, played the cabaret circuit with her club act, sold detergent, pancakes and Jell-O in national television commercials, wrote a screenplay that was optioned, was a regular at the Improv in New York City, performed on a three-act bill with Jerry Seinfeld at The Ice House in Pasadena, and made Lily Tomlin laugh as a stand-up comic at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles. Glenn has a thriving vocal studio, teaches performing arts and writes original material for schools and businesses. Among her favorites: Words Weekend, Mohonk Mountain House, New Paltz, N.Y., with Will Shortz of The New York Times crossword puzzle fame and shows for the Antrim Theatre Camp, Wesley Hills, N.Y., which she founded in 1991 and where Middle School Madness began. Glenn holds a bachelor's degree in music education. She is a member of Actors' Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, New York Singing Teachers' Association and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
