Mary Liz McNamara is a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, where she won the Jerry Harrington Award for Creative Excellence and the Ellen Schwartz Award for Outstanding Literary Merit in Lyric Writing. She has won two Manhattan Association of Cabarets (MAC) Awards for Special Musical Material and five ASCAP Plus Awards. Her current musicals in development are Body and Soul, The Good Girl and Sister Ann. Body and Soul, based on Alice Elliott’s 2009 documentary of the same name, tells the story of two women with significant disabilities and is being developed with actress and model Jamie Brewer in a lead role. McNamara is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Associate, SAG-AFTRA and the Dramatists Guild, and her songs are available on all major streaming services.
