Mark Guarino has had numerous plays produced at Chicago theatres including Zebra Crossing, the Curious Theatre Branch and Chicago Dramatists where he has been a resident playwright since 1995. He is the recipient of the national 2003 New Play Prize by ChicagoÕs Prop Theatre for his play All Dogs Must Heel, the 2001 Tennessee Williams Scholarship by the University of the South for his play From Hutchinson Street, and the John Gerrietts Award for Creative Writing from Loyola University Chicago. He is also a four-time finalist of the Chesterfield Film Project Fellowship.
