Julie and David Payne have worked as writers, producers, directors and actors throughout Colorado, as well as regionally and abroad, since 1981. They have written numerous children's theatre productions for the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, as well as Keystone Resort and Six Flags Elitch Gardens. Traditional fairy-tale adaptations include Hansel and Gretel, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rumplestiltskin, The Emperor's New Clothes and The Pied Piper of Hamelin. Original plays include The Invisible Cloud Carnival, Under the Beanstalk, Aladdin and the Glass Slipper and The Under the Bed World. They have most recently written an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, commissioned by The Aurora Fox Arts Center. David and Julie regularly write corporate awards presentations and new product or promotion introduction shows for Rave Reviews in Denver, Colorado.
