Musical director and keyboard player John Bowen is recognized in the New York City area as well as nationally. His productions include Curtains (Theatre Under the Stars, Houston); In My Life (Music Box Theatre, Chicago); Fosse, Curtains, Hairspray, Peter Pan, On the Town, 1776, Oklahoma, Funny Girl, Grease and Pirates (Paper Mill Playhouse, Millburn, N.J.); Smokey Joe's Cafe, Nunsensations and 8-Track: The Sounds of the 70s (Downtown Cabaret Theatre, Bridgeport, Conn.); Nunsense A-Men (47th Street Theater, New York City); and Hairspray, My Fair Lady, Singing in the Rain, Nine, A Christmas Carol, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors, Gypsy, Aida, Anything Goes, Bye Bye Birdie, Oklahoma and Jesus Christ Superstar (Westchester Broadway Theatre, Elmsford, N.Y.). Bowen's off-Broadway and regional productions include Oliver, Crazy for You, Sweet Charity, Evita, The Sound of Music and many others. His national productions and tours consist of Annie (Fox Theatre, Atlanta), Chicago, The Who's Tommy and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
