Hope Gatto previously worked in journalism and stand-up comedy before writing for the stage. After graduating from Mercer County Community College, she attended Knutztown University where she won the Bennett E. Harris Humerous Writing Award in 1995. Her plays have been produced in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She has worked for several years as a dramaturg for the playwriting program at the Passage Theater in Trenton, N.J. She resides in Hamilton, N.J., with her husband and their two children.
