Gilbert M. Martin's music and lyrics are well established with America's leading publishing houses. He has composed more than 300 published pieces of sacred and secular choral, piano, organ, instrumental and ballet music. Besides Doctor, Doctor!, some of his other works include Mother GooseÉ Now!; One Family, Some Friends; Shepherd Song; Pardon Me, Is This Planet Taken?; Sleeping Beauty; The Jesus Gift and The Clouds. He has been a designer/arranger/conductor and is the musical editor of both the Exaltation Series of sacred choral music and the choral division of the Sacred Music Press. He has acted and directed for musical as well as non-musical theater. A native of Southbridge, Mass., Martin studied with Alexander McCurdy and George Lynn at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, N.J., where he has been honored as a distinguished composer and graduate. Although he lives and works in Dayton, Ohio, he is often given the opportunity to teach, cajole and conduct numerous musical ensembles throughout the country.
