End Papers is one of Barry Weinberg's three full-length plays, including The Café on the Corner and The Main Chance. Before being selected for production by the AACTNewPlayFest, End Papers was workshopped by the Theatrical Mining Company, Baltimore, and Playwrights Forum, Rockville, Md., and was chosen for readings by the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, the Reston Community Players' New Play Project and the Atlantic Stage New Play Festival. Weinberg's short play, The Prize, won Theater J's 5x5 Playwriting Festival in Washington, D.C. Since he retired in 2000 after 35 years as a civil rights lawyer in the U.S. Justice Department, in addition to writing plays, Weinberg has been an international election observer and has lectured overseas and in the United States on election dispute adjudication. The second edition of his book, The Resolution of Election Disputes, was published in November 2008. Weinberg is a member of the Playwrights Forum and The Dramatists Guild and lives in Bethesda, Md.
