A.J.
DeLauder is a West
Virginia-based playwright, actor and teacher. Their work has been selected,
produced and/or developed with Barter Theatre’s Appalachian Festival of Plays
and Playwrights, the Baltimore Playwrights Festival, The Bluestone Project, New
Hampshire Institute of Art, the Pocahontas County Drama Workshop, Theatre
Arlington, Theatre on the Lake, Our Town Theatre and LAB Theater Project. They
are a winner of the 2016 AACT NewPlayFest, a two-time honorable mention for the
Joe McCabe Memorial Script Award, a finalist for the Bridge Award and Ashland
New Plays Festival and a semifinalist for the Association for Theatre in Higher
Education’s Judith Royer Award for Excellence in Playwriting and the
Playwright’s First Best New Play Award. DeLauder earned an MFA from the New
Hampshire Institute of Art and a master’s degree in English literature from
West Virginia University.
